Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

For those of you who have had replacement orders, is there a time period where you would have to place that order before it "expires"? I don't think the blue ameraucana is going to make it. I'd like to replace her, but they aren't usually available. Anyway, any input is appreciated.

They do have a time Limit on replacements. I think it's 90 days but if you want they can keep the credit and you can put it toward your next order but that does not include shipping. But if you wait watch the hatch dates you may be able to snag some in the next few weeks on the over hatch list.;-)
Sorry to hear about your leghorn.

Also you don't have to replace them with the same breeds that died.

Thanks! Good to know. Maybe I'll take a credit and see what spring offers. Also, are they just taking my word for this? Or do I have to prove they didn't survive? Weird question, I know.

Oh, almost forgot! Here are my five good looking chickies:
400

Cuckoo marans - Sarsaparilla

400

Black ameraucana - Eggplant

400

Light brahma - Olive

400

DH's lav orp - Plum

400

Speckled Sussex - Strawberry
At least I think this one is the SS because of the yellow chest.

I took pictures of the dead ones and emailed them so they would be able to confirm how much to credit me. If the expensive ones die then I would recommend that.

In rare breed assortment can you get a gold laced wyndotte? I have one with this order and I'm not sure what it is. Could be an EE but has yellow legs, could be a barnavelder but does not seem to have a strait comb. Any ideas?

This one looks a lot like a barnevelder or golden laced Wyandotte to me! I guess you might have to wait a few weeks to find out! How exciting though! Very adorable!

There's no time limit. They just give you a credit for the dollar amount and that stays in your account until you place a new order. So, you could use it in the spring if you want to wait.

Here is the email that I received from Meyer after reporting a loss:

Hi Michele,

I am sorry to hear your lost one of your Black Australorp chicks from your Order # 357710. I know it is never a pleasant experience!

Yesterday (3/20) was the end of your 48 hour live guarantee. I have applied your $3.38 credit on your account with us for any future order. This will automatically deduct when you start the checkout process (no expiration date).

Thank you again for choosing Meyer Hatchery and let men know if there's anything else I can help you with

Well, that seems easy. I think I will wait till spring to replace. Thanks!

The credit stays on your account for ever but if you want to have them ship you another order without paying shipping again then it has to be within the time limit. I tryed to do this last batch as a replacment order but I had waited to long. They applied the credit but not shipping. But my second order this year was free shipping because it was in the time frame to be a replacment, even though I added a bunch to the order.
