Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I went and looked at the possibilities at Meyer, and I'm guessing my Meal Maker is a White Rock or White Leghorn. What do you think??

Those two are what I was going to guess.

I like your assortment. Will be fun to see how your BLRW turns out. (And all of them, of course, but I am partial to the BLRWs, since my Blossom is the baby of my bunch.

Oh, and these are not Meyer chicks, but I just wanted to post more cuteness:

They are my cream legbars. Today is their 2 week birthday.

So cute!
Meal maker could also be a Delaware. My Dellie looked just like that too, although, yellow fluff is hard to distinguish. Can't wait to see.

Is that a trio (one male, two females) It's a bit hard to tell but the one in the middle looks like it has a light spot on its head. Looking up pics of Cream Legbar chicks shows a whole lot of color/tone variation. I wonder if the one will darker as a pullet too.

Yes, male and two females. That is the yellow head spot you see in the middle one. The darker one in front of him is his sister. The one in the back I got from a different breeder. She throws me off because she is as pale as the male. But she has all the proper chick marks that she is supposed to have to tell the females, just in a paler version than the front chick. And, I can't wait, because a third breeder whose list I have been on for a long time contacted me, and I am going probably this weekend, to get a third female legbar from her! She has lighter and darker as well, and she said I can pick which ever one I want. So I said I would try to find one that looks different to the ones I already have. She has chicks from her own eggs, and she also hatched some from eggs she got from the same breeder as my brother and sister pair. It's possible I may come home with another sister.

None of these have names yet. But I think I will wait until I have all four of them together and see what comes to mind.

I only have one CCL (from Meyers) and I cannot wait until she starts laying...seems like a long way off! I would have considered getting more if I could get ones that look different. I only bought one of each breed with the exception of EE, since EEs all look different from each other, so that we wouldn't have a problem telling them apart. Yours look so lovely--and it's so nice to be able to differentiate between them.

Thank you.

I've been thinking that the male and the light female might have a phase of being mixed up in between losing their baby down and growing their combs. If it wasn't for the head spot, I already wouldn't be able to tell them apart, and I think he might lose that soon, as feathers come in. Although eventually, the difference will be obvious again!

My first batch of chicks were five lavender Ameraucanas. I did put colored zip ties on them, and I'm glad I did that. My Meyer group are all different. Well, two are blue splash Marans, but they still look different. It's been a lot of fun having a diverse group.

I try not to think of the wait for eggs....

How fun! I hope you do find one that's in between. Maybe when the pullets grow up they'll have different colored crests. I've seen cream, light grey, charcoal, and brown. I think they look like hairdos.

Re Christine: Gotcha, I did see a few pics of Dellie chicks where one looked all white and the others had the markings. How interesting.
