I got it working! What do you guys think about Americaunas, Barred Rocks, and possibly another breed?

I ordered them! 8 Americaunas and 7 Barred rocks (hens)! YAHOOO! They get here Dec. 6-9th!

I'm curious about Meyer, too. I'm just getting started and like the variety available from the larger hatcheries, but would love to support a local breeder improving stock.

I moved close to where meyer's hatchery is 7 years ago. Big mistake. For me anyway. I got the chicken bug and get all my birds from them. Turkeys, ducks, chicks and geese. I love the place. They have always treated me right and the birds are always perky and healthy. Sure, you might loose 1 or 2. but that can happen at any place. If you tell them, they credit them and you loose nothing. By the way, i just joined the byc gang today but have been reading it for over a year. As i said, i live about 9 miles from polk ohio and meyers is the best.
