Meyer Hatchery

Always recieved healthy chicks!!!

chickens are bigger than other hatcheries I have ordered from (Ideal & Welp)
each year they add different breeds!!!

I placed an order at Meyers and should be picking up or getting my chicks on the 10th of march. Meyers is 3 hours away from me. The chicks will hatch on the 9th and i can go pick them up on the 10, or they can be shipped to me on the 9th. If I go for the chicks being delivered then they will have 3 post office stops before they get to me. Do you guys think i will still get the chicks the next day? Or should I just make the 6 hour round trip for them. If the post office delivers next day then I should get them early on the 10 and if I go up to get them then they wouldnt make it home until the afternoon on the 10th. What to do, what to do??

6 hours are worth the trip to ensure your precious babies are going to make it without any problem. If they have to stop 3 times they might be left on the cold along with the rest of the mail.

I have some Delaware poulits from Meyer hatched on Sept 22. They are now laying and are what I would consider true to the breed. I also have ordered other things from them and have had great customer service.

I got mine that night

I would sugest calling your post office (tell them the time they will be ship from were!!!

They have certain pick ups times from each stop (should be able to track the route)

I went ahead and had them shipped. I paid for express shipping hoping they would be here the next day. I think they ship out on the 9th at 4pm. I live 3 hours away..surely they should be here the next morning. Gee wiz, thats this tuesday!!
