Hi! I have a few mystery chicks from Meyers that I'd love any help on breed or gender. They are 2 days short of 6 weeks old. Thanks!

Probably not enough to tell gender on #1 but any breed info would be great!

I know I didn't get a good enough picture for a breed guess on #3, I think it's an Opal legbar. I'm mainly wondering about gender on that one.

Edited to add another picture of #3 (I believe).

1 and 4 are Legbar type Easter eggers. 4 is white skinned and has slate legs, so it cannot be a pure Legbar. 1 is for sure a pullet. I think the rest are too, judging by their combs.

2 is perhaps a white Plymouth rock.

3 is a Legbar or Legbar cross. It might be opal if it has lavender feathers or maybe frost white.

Thank you! #3 I believe is one I had asked about in a different thread, it does look a bit lavender and has light barring which I think is a trait of the Opal but I could be very wrong! I'll edit the post to add that picture here (I think it's the same one but I had 2 and one was clearly male and I don't think it was that one).

That description does sound like Opal coloring.

It could be opal possibly but a very washed out one 🤷‍♀️ Its feathers do look to have that shredder gene somehwere. They still could be the frost white legbars as frost whites aren’t exactly a true breed and more of a mix of a mix. Here are some images of my opal legbars when they were pullets. Although these girls were from breeders and not a large scale hatchery so there is a quality difference.

Thanks for the pictures! I tried finding some of young opals but wasn't having much luck. I plan on keeping it if it's a female and I don't mind either way what it is but just curious!
