Hey everyone.
What are the chances of MG transmission if my neighbor whose flock is infected visited my house and she wore clothes she's been wearing while feeding her MG positive flock, and afterwards I sat on the spot where she was sitting and then after few hours I entered my chicken yard to feed my hens wearing my clothes that I used to wear while sitting where she was sitting ? Is the transmission possible by this way?
I apologize it might be silly but I'm stressed by this disease 😔 and sorry for my bad english

hello @Country94 - welcome to BYC :frow

Via footwear is a far more likely route, and as you are neighbours, unless your and her biosecurity is very good (and it sounds like it isn't), it's probably on your property already anyway. Wild birds are also vectors.
It is not a death sentence for your birds; most survive it and even gain some immunity by catching it. Do some reading up on it, so you know what to look out for, and what you can do to help your flock, and try not to stress out over it :)

Thanks for your reply! I call her a neighbor but she actually lives pretty far from my house like, a different part of our village, 1km or so haha, that's too a definition of a neighbor over here 😅 when it comes to footwear route I have special boots that I use only to enter within my flock, it's kept right next to my chicken yard and my 'neighbor'😅 she has never been close to my birds since the flock is around 200m away from my place. I was just curious about the transmission route I mentioned in my post :)
Oh and also my flock is secured with a plastic net/mesh so it prevents wild birds from entering and sharing food and water with my hens
So, what are the chances in the situation above, neglible or possible? I think footwear route is out of concern since I use my 'chicken yard only' boots

oh good! sounds like you have your biosecurity well worked out :p
I would think transmission via clothes and seating unlikely.
where is 'here'? Your English is very good :D
I really hope so! :fl
Thank you once again!
