Oh no! Yeah, I do. Are they pecking each other, or scraping the down off on something?@MGG do you have experience with ducks? My ducks are balding and the skin is red View attachment 2635761
Do they have a heat lamp? It may be too low and they burnt themselves on it.@MGG do you have experience with ducks? My ducks are balding and the skin is red View attachment 2635761
They aren't scraping on anything, I've been putting vaseline on it.Oh no! Yeah, I do. Are they pecking each other, or scraping the down off on something?
I don't wan't to hijack MGG's thread or anything, but I have some eggs that are due today, one has pipped, other is kinda seeping brown liquid. This wasn't present last night. The egg has internally pipped, I just don't know if it's dead because I can't hear anything.
I'm comfortable doing assisted hatches when the chicks already pipped. I've never done anything more that that.Fluid coming out isn't a good sign. Are you comfortable doing assisted hatches? You can either wait to see what happens or you could open the air cell to let the fluid out to see if that helps. They aspirate easily so it may have already passed.

I have no ideaOh the chick isn't pipped? Where is the fluid coming out?
