Hi all! I have 4 BO chicks (5-7 days old) today I made a mama heating pad broody box and put them in the open air coop. (they are in a large wire crate so safe from older birds)
I have kept an eye on them since I put them out, and in about 2 hours they haven't gone under the MHP. They seem to be enjoying a mild day out (about 60 degrees) I put them under it a few times so they would know where warmth is, but they are more interested in playing
.
They are not huddling together or making distressed peeps. Should I just keep watching them & tuck them in at night?

they made a snuggly chick pile in the back corner of the MHP box.
