Thanks everyone for such kind words! The story was in our paper today and it was so exciting

And the exterminator "followed up" with the house! He called me today and asked if we've had anymore problems in the house. Goodnews/badnews there, I haven't seen or heard mice, and I found a few dead little beasties, but the dang little things chewed through the tinfoil and into some chocolates I had in my drawer
