Mice problem

I've found some little holes in the dirt also that I suspect are mice.
I went with a upside down 5gal bucket and a mouse trap over the food on the ground for the birds last night.
The hole was covered in new loose dirt this morning but the trap had not been touched.

I dug one of the holes down about 12in in the ground then went horizontal.

There is always an entry and an exit for mice or rats, mice will always be around and usually when I notice the mice missing is when the rats have moved in, when possible we identify the entry/exits and block all holes with a cage on top of one and then we slowly pour water in the other and they will come out of there in a hurry. We then close the cage and dispose of the catches, very old school but very effective.

PS: you know its bad when they start digging holes up through the concrete floor.
