Ok so i saw one mouse in my yard and some holes in the ground im hoping i dont get them because of the chickens but what do you guys recommend? Please help

Always have the feed secured in a rodent proof bin.
I have poison in my basement because we had quite the infestation last year. Tried traps but there were too many and we couldn't get ahead. After a week or two of the poison being out, I haven't seen any since, minus a dead one here or there. Only thing with poison is you got to be sure it's in a place where no child or animal other than the intended target can mess with it.

Thank you so much i have a 7 month dog so it will be hard to put out poison but i will just keep her inside or in the front yard but again thank you again i will change the containers too to rodent proof ones

I have dogs and kids so I use "bait stations" that I found at tractor supply. They work great for keeping everyone, but the mice away from the poison.

if you use any rodenticide(poison) make sure it’s in a bait box. By law almost all are required to be placed in a hard, locking bait station. This prevents kids, dogs, or other non target animals from getting into it. You can buy prefilled ones or buy refillable bait stations. Most rodenticides use vitamin k1 as the antidote and it’s usually readily available at a vets office in the event a dog or something else gets into it.
