I came home from work last night and noticed Sahara, my khaki campbell with something in her mouth.
When I got closer, she had a mouse in her bill and was working on eating it! The other ducks were around her (i guess to see if she dropped it) but she just kept working with it until she swallowed it! It's good to know that no mouse is safe with my ducks around but it was disturbing at the same time!EWWWWWWW

My runners seem to go after mice, also. They don't seem to care how long it has been dead, either.

Not surprised, we don't have any come 'round which is smart on the mice behalf with 17 ducks to strike you i wouldn't recommend it lol

Why disgusting? It's the natural food chain and the protein is good for them.

well i can kinda understand that.. i know the crunching sound of mine eating snails.. leaves me going ick! I had a dog grab a mouse and swallow before too.. that grossed me out lol BUT i wouldn't stop using their eggs because of it

I wish mine were mice hunters. I had to tack tin down in every seam of the coops to keep the wee buggers out.
