Is anyone bringing any quail eggs? I may be interested, but would like to know the breed and price before committing to a purchase. Thanks all. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

I won't be able to attend this because of a rabbit show on the same day

My BIL had posted looking for a female cayuga to go with his lonely drake. Since he did not get any replies he has decided to see if anyone would be interested in taking the drake for free. He just feels bad that this duck is so lonely and is willing to give him away. If anyone is interested please pm me.

Hello everyone. I will be at Chickenstock and would like to find a bantam golden sebright pullet. Prefer to be old enough to be out of the brooder because she will go in with pullets that are about 6 weeks old. (of course after quarantine.) Thanks.

Or even either a silkie or frizzle pullet. Prefer something in a blue but would take a white.

Hello,

We are bringing about 15 Old English Game Bantams. They will be 8 weeks old on the day of Chickenstock. There are more cockerels than hens; I'm not sure yet exactly how many of each, but at least two of each of the following colors:
Silver Duckwing
Barred
Blue
Black Breasted Red
Brassy Back
and 3 Splash (all cockerels I'm pretty sure)

Since we are trying to get rid of the cockerels, they are free. And the hens are also free, if you also take a cockerel. $5 each for hens only. (Actually, I will slip somebody cash if you take the cockerels off my hands and don't mention it to my son if they are going to become "cornish hens" on the dinner table as soon as you get home! These are his 4-H project, and his first chickens--mostly we keep ducks. We usually buy sexed ducklings, so we haven't had to deal with the "what to do with extra males" problem. But we couldn't get sexed bantam chicks. The minimum order from Cackle Hatchery was 25 chicks, so we got 5 each of the first 5 varieties listed above, plus they threw in the Splashes. My son is going to keep 2 hens of each variety, and he'll pick his favorite cockerel to keep. So that's why we have so many "extras.")

Looking forward to meeting you all!

I have this male muscovy drake that is too big for my ducklings- and my yard is too small (and my ducks and chickens are illegal) for me to keep seperated permanently. I feel really guilty about keeping him penned and not letting him be able to forage or mingle with the others. If anyone is interested in him, I could bring him to chickenstock- but I don't want to bring him and then have to bring him back.

I really really need a female pigeon. If anyone has any for sale or knows someone near them who sells and would pick one up I would gladly purchase it at Chickenstock. My only requirement is that it is female.
My white male homing pigeon is alone- he thinks my hen is his mate. He has been sitting on her eggs for three days straight, and wont come off the nest...probably because she has no intentions of going in there and relieving him of his duties.
He preens her feathers and does the mating dance and follows her all over the yard.

She ignores him.
Its cute, but it is also pitiful. If he had a friend, I think he would be happier.

I also am looking for a bearded silkie pullet. Anyone bringing any to ChickenStock?

Hi, fellow Michiganders! I can't WAIT for Chickenstock to see some old friends & make some new ones!

I have two orpington pairs for sale - if they don't sell at (or prior to) Chickenstock, I have an out-of-state buyer who wants them, but I honestly would prefer not to mess with shipping them, so I'm offering each pair for $50/ea.:

Lavender orp cockerel & split lavender (black) orp pullet - they are from Jody's stock (hinkjc) and are just gorgeous!

I'll get some pics this weekend & post in here on Monday.

PM me if you are interested.
