Chickenstock is finally mere hours away. I've loaded a couple of tables, two cages, two small dog carriers, waterers, a box with paper plate & napkins, and Granny's walker. After dark I'll take the two 5 week old bantam blue orpingtons and load them. In the morning I've got in put a childs car seat in the truck since Hope's 2 year old grandson is coming with us. Load the newly hatched chicks, the smoked chicken, and be on the road by 745am. I think I've remembered everything.
For supper tonight Hope fixed a great casserole of egg noodles, a can of cream of broccolli soup, a little finely minced onion & bell pepper, and smoked chicken. As much as I've been trying to avoid second helpings I'm afraid one was required.
Is there running water there to fill up the chicken bowls, or should I bring a jug to fill them with? (And semi related - is there a bathroom on site? Being pregnant, I need to keep tabs on where I can constantly pee, lol)
Also - Do I remmeber correctly that someone posted that the construction is done?
Loaded a table, 3 chairs, my spinning wheel, drop spindle kits to learn how to make yarn, wool prepared for spinning, 3 alpaca fleeces (fresh from shearing last week or two ago), an alpaca teddy bear, HAND MADE LYE SOAP for sale, the raffle item, MAPS, lots of yarn for sale. AND money to pay for the stuff I ordered!
Have to load in the morning, carrier with 2 silkie hens after I water them, put the silkie chicks in the large bird cage. MAYBE put the dual bird cage in if it will fit, no bottom on it.
An empty box, just IN CASE I need it. A tarp.
Need to find water dishes yet in the morning and load the 3 chicken feeders full of feed and of course do chicken chores before leaving and drop by the farm and check on the new baby alpaca named SAMSON that was born Yesterday morning and his Dam. He is a rich medium brown and she is all white.
Already have 16 chicks lined up for the return trip and EGGS.
Then SUnday it will be off to the FarmPark WoolFest near Cleveland, OH.
My first CHICKENSTOCK.
Oh, and I need to LOAD THE COLESLAW!!
Cheers and see y'all SOON!
