Michigan Chickenstock 2012 Buy/Sell/Trade

Hey, Kimmie - I have a VERY nice adult male, he's just over a year - blue (he has placed well in shows, and is a proven breeder, friendly, have never had any issues with him). I also have a nice black male that's...gosh, I think 8 weeks right now. But, that's all I'd have as of now. The black male has a blue male hatch mate, but I believe I may be keeping him. PM me if you're interested in either!

I think I will bring some of my sewing things, Whatever fits in the rental. bags, pin cushions, quilts, aprons, etc. Also possibly some of my bantam roosters, showgirl, sizzle - again dependent on space

My chick order from my feed store was a disaster. I ordered 5 EE, 5 Jersey Giants, and finished my minimum 25 chick order with 15 CX. By the time I picked up my order, all I got were CX. They said the JG and EE didn't come in but when I got home the box had JG listed on it. I am sooo mad. The only reason I placed the order was to get EE and JG, the last thing I wanted was 25 CX.

Soo to make a long story short, will anyone have any EE or Jersey Giants - pullets? - for a reasonable price since these CX's are going to eat me out of house and home?

I have a one year old trio of Black Austrolorps that I want to sell. The hens look a little rough around the edges from too much lovin from Black Jack. But they lay real well.

I appreciate the offer but the JG were what my DH wanted so I'll have to check with him first but a different large, black breed may be ok for him. Please let me know how much you want for them because that's going to be the first thing out of his mouth lol. I just feel soo bad, I've wanted chickens forever and he just gave in this spring. He thinks our first batch of 11 week old layers are great and has really changed his mind about chickens but for him to give in to me and not get what he wanted makes me feel really bad.

I understand. The BA's were what my DH wanted too. They have such a nice disposition. I want $20 for the trio. I might even include a JG hen for an extra 10. The rooster is free, just needs to go with the girls so I can get down to one coop.

Oh, I didn't realize the roo came too, even though I'd love to have him, we didn't plan on having a roo. Our elderly neighbors told us they don't want to be woken up by crowing in the morning and while they're 100 yards from the coop, its parallel to their house and windows. I love my neighbors and don't want to cause problems so it's something else we'll have to think about.
