MICHIGAN Chickenstock North - 2012 August or September

Just an update. Went to the township hall on Monday. No one was there. Yesterday, they couldn't answer all of my questions. Was supposed to be a meeting last night for some of the questions to be answered. Will check back later today.

But hey, if we can still get something going in Grayling, that would be great!!! It is the most central and fairest for all to get to, especially for those in the Upper. The point is to have a northern meet up - it does not have to be Brethren.

People will come if they can, and if they are interested.

Hello,
I'm the one who originally croposed the whole CS North to Brethren (not expecting any of this to blow up the way it has since none of he details had been worked out :/. Anyway, whatever anyone else is planning, I am still going to put together a gathering in Grayling. Probably something super simple and the first one will probably be fairly simple, but I think we will all have a good time :). Keep your eyes peeled for a new thread about a northern Michigan gathering. My goal with this whole thing is for fair access for EVERYONE. My home town is West Branch, so I even have a drive to get to Grayling. All I have to do is work out a couple more details and we are good to go. Any input you have would be appreciated :).

Hello,
I'm the one who originally proposed the whole idea of a CS North to Brethren. I figured I would have an opportunity to work out the details of this whole thing before it blew up on the forum :/. Oh well, onward and upward........
I am planning to have a northern CS this fall, like I said though, I am still working out some of the bugs. Grayling is still my plan as far as location and I plan to keep things simple, but fun :).
So, if you are interested, keep your eyes out for an official thread on this even. The whole point of my original idea was to have a CS that was accessable to everyone.

HI Anish, sorry I got you and kimmie mixed up. Grayling is great for me, too, I hope you can swing it. If you do I'll be happy to help with "stuff" whatever that might be. I also agree we need to make it known to those towns that don't allow chickens that it is the reason we will not do business with them.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Thank you! One way or another, it will happen. It might be a little disorganized and it may not have all the bells and whistles that the Lansing CS has, but we will work on it over the years. I really would like to make this a yearly event.
Thank you for offering to help!!!!!!! Be careful though, lol! I might just take you up on that :).

OMG! I am SO embarassed! I swear, I am not as much as an idiot as you would think after reading my earlier posts! I just re-read them and I can't believe how stupid what I wrote sounded. I was having technical issues with my computer which is why there were two versions of my introduction. Not to mention, my two oldest kids would not stop talking to me while I was typing. Ugh! Oh well.
Still working out some bugs, but the gathering IS in the active stages. I should be posting some plans here soon. :)

Thanks for your patience!! :D
