nice!!! you are going to have lots of chickies. I love blue chickens. We have Isbars that are blue and splash. How exciting for you!!

Chicken math is getting me good this year, so it's a good thing I don't have a rooster right now or I'd have an incubator up and running.

My project for this year/next year is blue sex links. Super easy to make.....I just have to find a splash rooster locally this summer. Would be even more fun if I could find a splash ameraucana for it so I could have blue chicks that would lay green eggs. *sigh* a girl can dream, right?

Wow, been a long time since this one was rolling!

Got a broody on 4 eggs(BCM x CCL) due to hatch Sunday 3-18.

26 eggs in brand new Incuview for local farmette,
all developing as of yesterdays Day 9 candling.

Hope to incubate more of the BCM x CCL cross for sexlinked OE chicks,
but think she(my only CCL) may be broody,
found her in the nest tonite tho she laid today.
I really, really would rather have her keep laying than setting. SMH.

I am going to candle mine again I tossed like three last time. There were a couple others that...I was like...ehhh..but really this run was just getting the Bator ready for the Arkansas Blues and the BCM that are coming....

Blue egg Layers John Blem ,Birch Run Mi.

I have been eyeballing his "leftover" chicks for a couple of years, but alas I live a 3 hour drive away.

Well out of the nine eggs Miss Jean Broody is sitting on....Six are developing ! All Iowa Blues. @aart good luck with your hatches! Ummmm...Or should I say "Break an egg"??? ;)
We bought a black Ameraucana hen that were Blehms culls from a friend. Beautiful bird and VERY social....Terrible egg layer :(. Thinking Mr Blehm breeds more for show than eggs ?
