What did you order...and where from??

I ordered 25 bantam silkies (blue) from cackle hatchery. They have a substitution option to get your chicks sooner and I said the can substitute the blue with black or splash if need be. I think they did so they could fill the order quick. They got here in 3 days and I picked them up this morning. they included 4 extras for warmth but a few didn't make it. :/ I have 22 now, but they're all doing great.

adorable pictures and congrats to all the new chick mommas..

I have my chicks in a box in my daughters room, with a lamp she love them.. and it works great.. if you post the chicks on craigslist and if your on facebook join some of the pet sites in your area.. and post chicks forsale.. i have people starting to inquire about my chicks.. there is people out there that want chicks.. if not they will come march.. and around easter time. will want to get some older chicks.


i also forgot to mention there is a free rehoming thread on here byc.. you can post your chicks for free.. someone will come get them

THE SILKIES ARE LAYING!!! Trying to figure out my breeding pens (or really just the pen to seperate my barred hens when I want to collect eggs for my sex-links) without disrupting the laying. Maybe the big dog crate will go back in the coop.......

I have a lady coming for 6 chicks tonight.. and a email someone else might want some also.. i think i will keep 3, so my dd has some chicks to play with..


and for those who want to pull their incubators out.. come on and join us you know you want to...

i know i am a enabler.. what mattsinger said.. lol



Lady just came and bought 10 chicks.. i only have 4 left and keeping those.. hopefully the next batch i hatch sell this quick..
