I hope you have a good hatch It must be pretty cold still up there where you live? I'm about 20 mins from the state line so about as south as you can get in MI. Weather has been warm-cold and rainy/stormy here.

I wish so bad I could have turkeys but I'm running out of room as it is with all my breeding pens. Just have to wait a year or so before we buy our farm, ugh it's REALLY hard waiting!

I have a broody again. She's hunkered down and crabby. We'll see if she can go the distance. I have 2 bators going too.

Final candle done. Threw out 10 of the 40. Most of those were clears, only a couple of quitters. So I have 26 in the incubator and 4 under my broody silkie. Monday is hatch day on paper.

I just finished filling incubator #2, had to move all the extras back to bator #1 so I had room for the new eggs. 8 Speckled Sussex and 12 Buff Orpington. They should hatch May 23.

So I have hatches on the 14th, 19th, and 23rd

I also just got back from seeing my friends' emu chick that just hatched, talk about adorable. Gosh they are SO cute , now I want a few!

Where we used to live we couldn't have a single thing! I'm so glad that we live out in Lapeer now so I can thoroughly feed my addictions

Woke up this morning to all my chicken eggs gone and little chicks in their place! Wahoo! I'm pleasantly surprised everyone I put in the bator hatched out. Yayy! I have 2 Polish chicks and 7 Silkie chicks all total chirping away in my kitchen now. Now the wait for the 2 duck eggs and 5 turkey eggs.... shouldn't be too much longer. I hope they do well. I always get nervous about the ducks since my last go round in 2013 didn't go well. I lost too many to shrink-wrapping

I have 9 silkie eggs on my counter......was going to toss them since I don't really have the space for many more silkies, but this morning my white silkie is STILL in the nest box, and I pulled 5 clear silkie eggs out of the incubator last night. maybe it's a sign.

my dd got tired of turning so we worked out a system since i added a bunch of chicken eggs to her goose and turkey.. out of the goose and turkey we have one turkey egg that made it to lockdown yesturday.. we already have some pips and one zipping..

when candling yesturday b4 lockdown there was alot of chicks already in the aircel so i am not surprised with the pips
