Thanks CG, just need to get lots of rest.

tdhenson, best wishes for the new couple.

Moved 9 pullets from the hutch run to the main coop today. My 6 Dominiques and 3 Buckeyes. Had them in a wire cage for a bit while the others checked them out. Then chased the older birds out and let the new ones free inside the coop to get used to it. Be opening the pop door back up shortly and see how everyone gets along. They're all about the same size now so hopefully not too many feathers will fly. will be tossing out some cracked corn at the same time. They sure like that stuff.

Humid up here today, makes any activity outside really nasty. Should cool back down tomorrow to the low 80s. We'll see if it really hits 90 today, only 80 right now but it's very very cloudy.

Swampducks - Have you tried free ranging the chickens all together outside? That might be a better place for a rumble than inside the coop! Also, I know some folks have a way to partition part of the coop off for a few nights so the birds can get used to sharing the space! Good luck! What breeds are you trying to combine?

Hey fellow BYCers.  Need your prayers.  My exDIL is pregnant.  Drs have discovered a problem with the baby.  Please pray for this lil baby.  They may have to terminate the pregnancy.  Pauline has already lost a baby a few months ago.  She needs your prayers.  Thank you, cuz I know you will come thru for her.

I will pray for the baby and the mother.

I do not think that the doctors have a right to terminate the pregnancy, [or anyone for that matter] no matter what the situation is. Every human life is precious, no matter how small.

Micah, even though had many issues, is still 100 percent human, and he is very loved by many people.

I agree, FB. I don't know all that was discovered that was wrong with the baby. I know more tests are being done. It's a sad situation.
Micah was a beautiful angel. Thank you for your prayers.

Hi all, I just found out I could hop on here to talk to local chicken lovers :)

I see some of you are practically my neighbors. We just moved to Cedar Springs and just got 3 grown hens on Friday night.

1 Isa Brown and 2 RIRs.

I would love to eventually have around 20-30 birds, lots of variety, just for fun, and lots of egg colors.

Hope to learn a lot from you.

Darron, I just read your long thread last night about rebuilding your farm, wow, quite the story and thanks for sharing!!
