Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Wow, do the cost of things add up quickly! Decided to put the oldest into soccer this year (he's almost 7) through 4-H. $30 fee. No biggie. But then today we went shopping for his supplies. We needed socks ($10), shin guards ($12), soccer cleats ($20) and a ball ($20). Awesome! Lets add in back-to-school shopping there too! Nothing like dropping a few hundred dollars on clothes that you know are going to be destroyed within 8 months.

DH and BIL went and picked up the sheeting for the sidewalls of the coop/shed today. Another $200. Super! I feel like I'm bleeding money today! Oh well. At least BIL stuck around and is helping DH nail all the sheeting on, and possibly giving us some pointers on how to get the roof panels on more squarely on the side that faces the house (the side we'll look at every day). We kinda ran down-hill a little with the other side. Oops!

Congrats to your sister such a joyous occasion and a beautiful day for a wedding!
Thanks! It was an incredibly beautiful ceremony! It was in a cathedral that they call the "castle" in our area! It's not the church we attend, but we rented it out. Gorgeous facility! Although we had a ton of problems with the oven not working, air conditioning not functional, and a rude wedding coordinator who came with our rental, things turned out really well! My sister was beautiful and I gained an incredible brother!!!

HH, you are keeping your German NH's? Sorry you are facing adversity.
Thanks.
I am not keeping any. I knew a local guy would want them. He is the same one that bought my BR's. BYC user Jeff1960, so if anyone is looking to get any you should contact him. I will miss my NH rooster, Roy, the most. He is just the sweetest rooster.

Tragedy struck my

coop today, and i lost my pet hen and rooster couple. I may be getting out of chickens, i do not think that i want to go foreward with my breeding project without them.
