Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Big storm last night, trees down, semi blown on it's side on the Big Mac. Friend's tent at their wedding venue demolished. I see lots of work ahead in the next few days...

At least it didn't get blown over the side! Though the only vehicle that happened to was a Yugo, I think. I hope your friend is OK, was anyone there or was it just the setup?

I am glad for the cool off that this storm line is bringing.

Glad everyone is alright.. that was some strong wind..

I put some oyster shell out and some extra protien for my 16 wk old pullets..and got outside early to let them all out into the big run.. so hopefully i see a egg or two today instead of them eating them.. I see the roo is mating with a isa and the leghorn today.. the 16 wk old girls are sure hanging around in and out of the nest boxes. so hopefully they start using it.. instead of laying out of the coop..

I just looked at the pic of the semi online..WOW! And some other pics online of the UP storm damage, some seriously LARGE trees down. Us SE Michiganders have some of that to look forward to later today... Yes, it was a Yugo...Just so happens I went to college with & work with the SIL of the young lady that was in the Yugo...very tragic..

Saw pics on FB from my friends up in the soo where I used to live. Big storm. No doubt the ship I was on is out looking over the damage around the Mac Straits. I don't miss the big waves anymore.

I still have 4 meat bunnies and a German NH pair I need to unload. I can't believe someone would not want to start a line of heritage breed NH's? Com'on! I need to make room for my goat operation...

The cool weather I want, the storm part, not so much.

Here's a quick video of our temporary automatic pop door. I built the mount for it yesterday and assembled the new door, sill and cover for the outside (being that the door is lighter and weaker than the plywood I had previously). We installed the motor and brain with its new programming and new batteries last night and it opened exactly when it should have this morning. Works great so far. I will be interested to know how it holds up over the week. (I will cut off the extra cord)

I am telling you, those German New Hampshires are the most awesome breed. Anyone that gets those will be pleased.
