Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

They all had a wonderful temperment and the hens even went broody for me. A wonderful dual purpose bird. These were the hardest for me to let go.

Thanks Laura. The two I have look exactly like those (should since they are the by-product of your old flock). The hen has been broody twice now. I just can't keep the rooster so I figure the hen can go with him, boo hoo. If my other rooster died today I'd keep em' both. I think my Buff Brahma Roo HOBO could survive an atom bomb, he's a tough old bird, lol!

So yeah, that's what they look like. Come and get em' and I'll throw in a glass of iced tea.

Aaarrrggghh!!!!! No I'm not sure!!! You know where to find me. Keep me posted. I gotta have something to go with my silkie and banty right?

But really, no more than 6 k?
I don't want any ("I don't want any, I don't want any, I don't want any..."), but I'd love to see a photo of what this cross looks like.

I sent my kiddos out to get current pictures... they came back with videos and told me to find a "still shot" in there somewhere. Pff! The wind was blowing and there was nothing but chickens running & feathers blowing around in the breeze. The whole "if you want a job done right" theory. Well, I went out... and I could see where the kids were coming from. Not a good day for pictures.

Here are some pictured of the boys. The pictures do not do them justice. It was really windy today & it's HOT, so I could barely convince them to come out from under the coop where it's shady to get good pictures. They didn't want to play "show me your face". LOL. I love the brahma markings, but where the brahma would be black, the crosses are partridge lined in gold, they have bearded faces, lightly feathered feet, and the tail feathers are the black/green iridescent. The girls look the same, only less pretty (don't tell them that!) though more feminine. Their partridge accents are darker, not really outlined in gold like the boys, and they resemble the brahma more, except for the bearded face. One of the girls doesn't have a bearded face, the other does. The ladies should lay green eggs, I'm hoping.
