I signed that. As a therapist, I know how therapeutic animals can be!

On that, I've got a slightly crossed beak banty who is the sweetest chicken you'd ever meet. Any idea how we can help? I'd be willing to take her somewhere if it helped someone. She's an ee bb mix and just the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. I think she'd make a great therapy bird.

Can you PM me with where you found help making one of these? (assuming you used websites) I'd love to have these on my coops!!

I really wouldn't use it as a permanent solution. The Lego Mindstorm brick is far more expensive than other DIY solutions (like $300). We just happen to have it on hand because my DH and boys are geeky. My boys know how to do this stuff because of several years of robotics competitions under their belts. I don't know squat about programming the thing!

On my 3 week old lav Orpington chick, the top of its vent is kind of sticking out.....like it didn't roll back in after it pooped or something. I noticed it yesterday, and its not changed today, and there is a bit of swelling around the vent as well. Is there anything I can do for this, or am I going to be culling a chick? (It is still pooping, running around, and generally acting like a chick)

I've been doing a lot of reading on chicken health this week. While we don't have this issue here, I think I read something about Preparation H being used to bring down the tissue swelling.
Hope it recovers.
