Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

x2!

Thanks for the compliments on Honey. She's just gorgeous.

I was looking on the phoenix thread and Onagadori posted some of her year old boys... If my boys tails are that long come spring, I will be a happy girl. Then I can go ahead and let Blue Boy romance Honey. Need to get vaccinated BBR for Mr. Ed though...

That lady needs to go home with you silly. NEEDS TOO. What a pretty pooch.

I had a moment of weakness I look through the local shelter every week for a great dane. She popped up today... so I went to see this girl at the shelter ...... such a sweet heart, very calm and doesn't seem to let anything bother her. And the most crazy intense blue eyes I've ever seen on a dog. Hubby says no, but that's easy for him to say when he's not home to look into my baby blue eyes and say it again! LOL! If she is still there Friday we'll see. Surprisingly, she's not deaf!

Aww, she's gorgeous. How could anyone resist. Good luck & let us know her name.

Even I am a little surprised that I am wide awake and feeling rested. I was reading the latest James Lee Burke novel "Light of the World" and read until I completed it. Without realizing the time it was 3am. Fell asleep immediately but before I knew it was 6am and I was wide awake. Hopefully later this morning I will be able to take a nap and perhaps catch up on some of the sleep I lost.

Thank you everyone for all the rabbit help, information and encouragement. Sadly but not surprisingly he didn't survive. It was old enough to eat and survive on it's own, but after seeing the extent of the injuries, mostly puncture wounds that are hard to clean, I'm not surprised. The first 24 hours were good and then down hill. My son is sad but pretty accepting since he knew going in it was not likely to help.

Yesterday, I notice these kind of runny orange color poops everywhere and I'm starting to panic thinking something is wrong. Then I realize, while I was at work my son helped my parents defrost their freezer. He talked them into bringing the things they didn't want over to feed the chickens. There WAS a lot of pumpkin. It is no more. I am curious to see if I have any color changes with eggshells because of it. While my son was there he also picked me Blackberries, enough that I can make HIM a pie and jam. I told him we would share work and share rewards.

Enjoy your fall day! Not too warm up this way.
