I bag up as many leaves as I can. I fill the runs with leaves, and add bags randomly until I am out... THEN.. they are SOL until spring.
I want to do this but was worried about the leaves getting moldy...any issues with that?

Hey, maybe it was a bargain deal for him... Never now... LOL
ANYWAY totally off chicken subject, but some might find it of interest if you haven't started your shopping yet...
Well, I went and did some checking on what my mandatory health care costs will be. I am 117% above poverty. My health care plan will cost $1000 a month of which $413 will be subsidized, leaving me to pay $587 a month. So roughly $146 a week. Note... Being self employed, I might have $400 a week come in, but I have roughly $120 go out just in job expenses. On occassion, more than that. When asking for my income they asked for before expenses and taxes. Hmmm... So... I make $1600 - $480 Which goes back into work, so, $1120-a month since having lost pay from downsizing and cost cutting measures, I am barely making ends meet. Now another near $600 is going to go out for my families health care. This will leave me $500 and change to pay bills, house payment and buy groceries.
I think I will take the fine for a few years until I am able to find higher paying employment... OH WAIT! I will lose that to childcare, a cost I do not have currently wth my job. I raise my kids, not some one else.
I guess I will also be putting in larger food plot than was planning come spring.
This is such a great law of the land.
don't knit but DD does, hope you show a pic when you are done
grandson will need ins. don't think he can afford it either, makes maybe $18000 a yr if he is lucky, less then 15 last yr. wonderful to know we can have ins. rather than eat
I thought being under 137% of the poverty level qualified you for medicaid? thought i heard that on NPR on monday.....

Actually, not "can", "HAVE to buy" insurance....
Ok...now I am really getting ticked, here are just 2 stories on our forum...wonder what we are gonna be seeing over the next week or so (assuming the media reports the good & bad fairly...LOL!!! Right !!!!! (More heavy sarcasm))....
Sorry, I am usually "the glass is half full" kind of person....but not at the moment....
BUT, speaking of putting food on the table.....SUCCESS! Fresh venison! Got me a nice doe this evening. Same as last year...first deer on 2 Oct!!
hard to collect them here when it's dry - it's never dry.Not if you bag them when they are dry and store them in a dry spot, like a garage.
OH, I hope the neighbor gets one this year. I'd LOVE a bit a venison. Haven't had any since my last hunting trip with my car...
