I think we could cut down on the number of commercial egg producers if we were simply allowed to raise our own chickens in rural settings. This fake egg thing sounds disgusting!

I am seeing $3.00 a pound for turkeys on craigslist. So I'll go with that for now I guess. though they don't specify heritage or bbs.. I think heritage go for more generally.
So my doe should be due March 30th 2014. I'm getting things together that I'll need. I just realized I didn't get her registration papers finished. EEeeeks! so I have to do that........ well I also have to register a farm name with the ADGA. So I was playing with a name for this because my homestead names a bit iffy... and if I'm doing that I'm making a new logo too. So Pine Hollow is what I'm hoping to use..and here's the logo idea. OK, yes I'm bored its Friday and I wanna start the weekend!

Chickens were cleaned and prepped for their big day tomorrow. My son decided he needed some time himself. This is where the whole Beaks 'n Books idea was "hatched".

Have to brag a lil, my son had football awards last night and (drum roll please) Captain, FB/DE,2nd yr Varsity, All academic, 1st team BWAC, Iron man and Offensive MVP, 1 more yr to go. I don't have much $, so I'm really praying for a good scholarship for him for college. If not, he's leaning towards National Guard, which is 1 branch I don't know alot about. Thanks Precious Kitty for your help. I'm is out and everyone enjoy their day, especially you precious kitty and thanks to all the veterans. We have 3 in the service now and 1 daughter has just finished Army and comin home this weekend!!!!

1 son- Navy and 1 other daughter- Air Force, hoping to see her before she goes to Italy in Feb. 2014.

Talk about goofy dogs. My Catahula x Heeler loves toilet paper tubes. She takes them from the trash can and "fights" them. She will growl at them, pounce on them, bark at them and tear them to pieces. Then she brings me the soggy cardboard carcass and drops it in my lap.

The entertainment is priceless.
