Question for bakers and/or dairy people.
Can heavy whipping cream be used after it has been frozen?

I had a pint of fresh whipping cream that got shoved to the back of the refrigerator. It is frozen solid.
I would hate to waste it.

I think cream tends to separate out and clot up after being frozen.
That happens with the fresh whipping cream and the natural milk that I'm getting. I have to shake or stir them before using.
I guess my question should be "does freezing the whipping cream have an adverse affect" on it's usage after thawing?

No new year day hatch along for me. I'd love to but I don't have the facilities to brood them, or a place to house them.

You could always do what I do: I brood them in my kitchen in an enclosed open top dog house! Lol once they are COMPLETELY feathered I put them in a little coop by themselves.

Yes I am bitten by the chicken bug. Love incubating and watching them grow and develop personalities.

I am actually looking for more fertile eggs now!

What I meant to say was that it clumps up and cannot be remixed - but try it and let us know.
Well, I thawed it along with some cream cheese that I used to make a pumpkin cheese cake.
I used the mixer to blend the ingredients and the batter was pretty smooth.

Four pies are out of the oven, cooling on the counter. The house smells delicious.

I already have my d'uccles in the house. I love them to pieces but boy the noise and mess!

I am wheedling the winter hours away thinking
of how to maybe build a small coop out of pallet wood.

RaZ .. If you like Pumpkin Cheesecake, I have a fabulous recipe for Pumpkin Swirl cheesecake. It is beautiful when done (a bit of a PITA to make) & always blows everyone's mind. I don't like pumpkin stuff EXCEPT this baby :D

Took a pic of recipe & uploaded under my profile in "Recipes" album.
