That made me think of my grandfather and the little bench he built

Love the old bench, would look really nice on a covered porch, maybe a small patchwork quilt on it, I love benches in the garden.
would you consider making bird houses, in a kit, (cut but not put together) one of my granddaughters loves to build things. has been going to Home Depot for their' kids build it' on Sat. I would like to buy some blue bird houses ready to put together, need 3 for the girls. if Megan gets one Faith and Abby will need one too

Wish I had a dog sled or snowmobile, I would then be happier to see this weather. as it is I fell trying to clear the snow away from the run door, so I could bring them water and toss some extra scratch out for the birds

That's better called "Customization" RaZ!

In one of my hardwood floors, I have one white oak board in the red oak field. Another has a pattern within a random arrangement. Then there is the apparent bending of my stone porch even though it is perfectly level. I spend way too much time adding the "flaws".

Well I certainly thought is was breaking, important news the other day when I got pushes on my phone from CNN, FOX & ClickinDetroit that Justin Bieber was arrested on DUI & resisting arrest charges. ALMOST as important as a few days prior to THAT when the push let me know that he got in trouble for egging his neighbor's house

Raz, and everyone else who needs a break from all this, I'm sorry, but my brain will NOT leave this junk alone just now; my inner militant Big Ag/Corp/Gov fighter hasn't stretched her wings like this in a long time.

I wanted to say this so that if it is a viable option, any contacts we have or could make could have their own time to plan accordingly. I'm sure some of us may know people beyond this website who have a stake in this and may not realize it yet. Do we know anyone who is involved in a 4-H club, community gardening, their farmers' market, or petting zoos, or as I said before, feed mill suppliers? Is there a pig, turkey, duck, or rabbit equivalent of BYC.com? Anyone, or groups of anyone, better yet, who can join us to ideally speak in Lansing or at least write some emails can help us. Let's reach out to anyone who might be affected, and everyone else we know who doesn't like their rights being pooped on.

Ok, it's out. Otherwise, insert negative comment about this cold "here". Stay warm, everyone and their chickens!

@taprock Thanks for all those pictures! They are a great help! I see some of my girls will be losing a tip or two! The poor guinea! Oh my! I have seen pictures of black combs and wattles but never frostbitten toes!

I hate the cold! Tryin to collect hatching eggs and mostly gettin frozen cracked eggs!
I have 4 diff breeder pens and cant get a single egg since I work all day!
Come on warm weather!

However will be heading to Maryville Tennessee next weekend to pick up my new miniature horse trailer and weather down there will be around 45-50 degrees!

It is a balmy 28 degrees here. About 1-2 inches of overnight snow but it drifted. The sun was out while I cleared the drive and walk, then we had a brief white-out. It left behind less than a 1/2 inch of powder.
