Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I LOVE TN.  Lived in Knoxville for 5 years.  Hardest move I ever had to make.  I'd move back there in a heartbeat, but my kids and grandkids are all in the  Lansing area, except for my son in Chicago.  We try and go back every year for vacation.  Love the people there, love the beauty and the weather!

I lived 4 years in Chattanooga. And every time it snows here i think man that little place on the side of signal mtn sure was nice. Maybe someday I'll get back there.

Munsell's isn't opening freezer camp until they have at least 100 participants. Not sure what DH is gonna do. Cuz Roo has to go :(
Kinda glad I'm not there for however he decides to handle....

My sister recently moved to Tennessee. She keeps posting pictures and job ads for homes and employment. She keeps posting me pictures of her morning view. Her front windows face the mountains. ANYWAY... How ya'll feel about moving to TN with me, and we'll have snow days over a dusting of snow, or the possibility of snow?

Kind of funny we are looking for some land in TN. Hoping to move in the next year or so. When ever the right place comes along.

I had one today thinkin of being aggressive towards me. I gave him a refresher reminder y to think twice about it. Lol
I did that to Gandalf....he was bothering the girls so much I started growling at him and chasing him with the small broom around the yard! LOL, he now stands aside and runs when I enter the coop, but he is still hounding the ladies when I am not too near... I should have named him Gigolo !

Finally got my holding pen done in the basement. I'm very excited. Everyone will be moved outside in the spring.

We are going to use sand, but no one has any yet. And of course everyone is out of pine, so we used straw, for now.

My daughter lives in TN and NC, wants me to move down there.
Sounds like a good idea now in the middle of the winter, but the heat would kill me in the summers!
She laughs at the people trying to drive when it snows and ices down there this year.

Nice holding pen @Chase Family ....you can probably get bagged Quickrete Fine white sand at HD for about $3/50# bag

I have been worried about the wildlife this year. I have a special spot for the morning doves, and i've noticed less and less of them on the lines. :( I'm hoping the little buggers got pushed southward a little, or are in hiding.

I love the sound of the mourning doves in the morning.

K I did it.

I jumped onto the incubator wagon. I never used one ever only broodies but today I bought a cheap Little Giant still incubator from TSC. Of course there was no instructions in the box so now gonna have to figure how it works.

Now to start saving more eggs! Already have 51 eggs under broodies!
Congratulations!!!! Wish I could, but I know I'm just not ready yet.
Argh. Forgot I am in the Central time zone. I just missed the first half of the Puppy Bowl. Phew. Made in time for the Kitten Half-time show & 2nd half of the bowl

Happy Belated Birthday Hope!! That cake sounds delicious!

Quote: My daughter was stationed for a couple years at Fort Campbell KY and lived in Clarksville TN. I loved visiting her there. Awesome almost year round not a lot of winter. But just enough. DSO and I talked about retiring to TN if not MI. We'll see. We too like to stay by family.

hope you have a big place, that may chicks inside the house creates LOTS of dust

Hi, Nova, TN sounds real nice right now but I would need to move my whole fam. not sure they would all be willing to go
Nice pen Chase's, I picked up some equine wood pellets, they work well and absorb more oder, you might also want to build some removable roost with poop boards under them, cut open some feed bags slip them on the poop board and clean off easy, just dump into another empty feed bag. you could use the removable roosts in the coop later
