Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Looked like sped up. Nice video Tap! I saw the northern lights once down here, I just laid out on the top of my picnic table with a blanket and watched. It was amazing!

With winter hopefully winding down we know what is coming. Nothing says spring in Michigan quite like potholes and with the severity of this winter I'm sure the pot holes are going to be doozies.
They already are! I was up in Ann Arbor and Canton, Westland and Garden City yesterday...It's a wonder I still have any front end suspension and tires left! Gave my Mom a "miscarriage" she said! (She's 83) !

The five chicks I hatched out from you are doing awesome by the way. I believe they may all end up with different feathering which is awesome!

Congratulations! on new chickies!

Thanks @Maah here is a really cute follow up to yours: Day 6 of the new ducklings:

@taprock Awesome! love the Alaskan sky! I saw them once when I was a kid (not too long ago you know...

) From our house in Michigan with my dad. He liked his telescope and astronomy. A good memory of my dad!

Well the pouring rain has started and some of the trees are still cold enough they are getting some ice on them so I hope it warms up enough soon so we don't have a lot of damage of electrical problems.

Salt truck just went down the road too, although there is lightning and thunder and we have a high wind warning until 6pm tomorrow night!

I'm downsizing my flock a little bit so my birds are closer to my spring breeding goals. I have eight pullets and hens who are available for sale. All purebred Araucanas, though most do not fit what I am breeding for.

Last time I had purebred Araucanas up for grabs, they did not last long on craigslist. Any BYCers get first dibs, though! I cannot deliver them more than an hour away, I just can't. It is winter, I had a job and responsibilities, so a long drive just isn't in the cards.

I'm giddy with egg-citment. Two more eggs this morning. The second cuckoo Marans (Jeckle) laid her first egg. So did Lucy the Ameraucana.
Mealworms all around!

I tried once before but I'll try again...

Is ANYONE interested in a free Lil Boy Hamster????? (Insert begging and pleading here!!!!!) I have 2 little babies that need homes. My male hammie broke out of his enclosure and into my females and alas, babies! They really are super adorable and I've found homes for 7 out of the 9 so far. These two little guys are ready to go - are 26 days old. The pic was taken on February 9th so it's a tad bit old. They are friendly, don't run from us.

If ANYONE wants one please let me know right away. I don't really want to make another home for them as we already have three hammie cages in the living room :/

Courthouse update: (~10:00 am)

"Township is asking for a dismissal of the case because GAAMPs compliance has not been demonstrated. Husband Jeremiah Hudson is also in the courtroom.
Jessica had a MAEAP technician out to her operation, did the 3 things required to become MAEAP verified. According to lawyer Gary Cox, she has not been able to become formally verified because Wayne Whitman has refused to let the MAEAP verifier return, and has also not come, himself to see if she is not compliant with the GAAMPs.
Unimaginable that MDARD routinely finds CAFOs compliant with the GAAMPs, but not very small operations like Sweet Peas Farm."

We are getting real time updates from MSFC as this case is playing out.
