Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

If you must open the bator (must) make sure you bump up the humidity in the room you do it in. Believe me there is nothing sadder than opening an unhatched egg and finding a chick smothered by his own dry egg membrane.
I take mine in the bathroom that I have steamed up - think kid with croup. It has worked in the past.

Here at the top of the mitten things are picking up with the fun this time of the year - hungry raptor wise. http://hawkcount.org/month_summary.php?rsite=613 http://www.emmetcounty.org/

Dealing with workers comp is a pain. Just don't give up and don't settle for less that they owe. Their goal is to wear you down until you settle just to get it over with. It can take years.

x2 had to deal with them over a small thing once, after the third time they sent letters correcting what I said had happened I gave up and sent the bill to my ins. BUT your DH injury was severe keep after them and make them pay the bill and keep good records
A sad reality for many people who want to have chickens is that too few people are informed as to what wonderful birds they really are. As a result many communities have passed ordinances making their possession unduly restricted or even illegal.
After much though on the various attributes of so many kinds I finally realized one image that might be most recognizable and accepted by the majority.......The Rotisserie Chicken.

Good morning, chicken people of Michigan. We're going to the same building (later) in the morning for the ag meeting, yes? Just a little insomnia here to top an already stressful week.
