Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

This photo just cracked me up for some reason. Goats in a car.

I can officially add eagles to my list of predetors right now. :( The eagle pair i saw this winter is not far, when i range my birds they have circled the last couple days...... I don't range unless i'm right there but even that is not always fail-safe. A couple years ago i had to run between a huge foot tall hawk and one of my hens; that hawk could have sliced me to ribbons! When the birds look to the sky and do the shrill trill warning i shush them back to the coop and have been ranging them very close to things they can scoot under in an emergency (mine are almost all as tame as cats so where i go they go too)

I dont use it very often, but I've never had it go moldy before. A shame cause it was half full and not cheap.

Finally had the supplies and the warmth to let the ladies roam for the first time!

(Leven wasn't too thrilled as seen by her frequent feather ruffling ;P )

Still waiting to see if our silkie is male or female...no real signs of any comb or wattle at six weeks. We're growing awfully attached but can't have roosters in our zoning area. We'll keep her/him pretty just in case DH and I need to find her another home at ChickenStock!
