I candled my duck eggs last night and had to throw out a dead one But the other 9 look good and are all moving around. They should hatch late next week, I'm pretty excited!

Had 8 nice looking deer behind the chicken coop, spring is bringing all the animals out, love it

My Muscovy has laid 8 eggs over the past week in her nest, but not showing any signs of wanting to go broody yet. Not sure how long i should give her before i clear out the eggs. I hear some ducks will build quite big clutches before they sit.

Picked up some hatching eggs yesterday from jlynnet.  Her husband and son were kind enough to show me her birds - what lovely things!  I especially loved the HUGE partridge Orpington rooster, and the crele polish were stunning.  Thanks again for the eggs - and the extras you threw in (very naughty!)

Bummed I wasn't able to be there! You are going to love those Jubilees! My son loves showing off the chickens.

So, umm, does anyone know if oregano is a perennial? Mine is back for the 3rd year now. Last year I thought it had just re-seeded itself but looking at it today that is not the case.
