Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

That's the kind of nonsense that MTARD is encouraging. They want the local officials to decide what or isn't allowed. Most of them think chicken comes in a bucket.

Garden City wasted no time after I refused to allow the OO in my yard and garage. Just got a notice to appear in court for "violation of probation". I find that funny since my probation ended on October 11, 2013. I must be on double-secret probation or something.

If anyone is looking for chicks, ducklings or turkeys, the FFH in Almont has lots!! Welsumers, Isas, BR, RIR, BSL, Cornish, BO and Amber Links.

Ok. I've been fighting with lice all winter. I thought I had them GONE finally, but after inspecting one of the girls yesterday, it appears I was WRONG.
I would second the ivomectin. It seems to be very effective with the lice, more so than mites. I was also told by the vet you don't have to toss eggs. I just treated all 66 older birds today. I'm not sure they all needed it but I did every one in all the coops since the starlings have been hanging with them lately.

Everything is greening up here. It seems my lilac transplants survived the winter. My roses all died off but there are new shoots coming up so they may survive after all. Does anyone have experience in transplanting small pine trees? We would like to move some on our property.
