Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well, today I am beginning the integration of the 2 Ameraucanas I got from @Wynette at CS. The blue is Rana, black is Kali. AND, one of my 8 week olds found his voice this morning, way too funny. Of the 5 Maia hatched on Mother's Day, looks like I got 2 EE pullets (one of which I probably gonna look just like the late Spazzie), 1 OE pullet & 2 OE cockerels.

First pic of birds meeting each other. Bigboy was losing his mind first thing this morning trying to "court" the new girls ;)
I'll get some better pix later today when the sun is higher in the sky...

Hi! I got 6 hens from Wynette too! and Ihave 2 blue Ameraucana and one black, they are just gorgeous, the blues are called Flossy and Scratch and the black one is Blossom, the other 3 are called Penny Black, Fancy and Dollar Bill !...I am really pleased with them and their personalities are great

That's pretty funny, Sam. You should post a picture so we can all see your boo-boo. Here is a picture of me with no boo-boo but a few bee-bees.
I'm envious of your bee bees. This is year two of three hives dying out each winter. We're hoping to catch a swarm this year.

I'm not sure if this image is uploading correctly but I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what breed this batam rooster is.

Opa, maybe you should avoid surgeons for a while. Hope this is it for a while.

I got my bees, and the hardware for a Top Bar hive, from Gold Star Honeybees in Maine. They have raised generations of chemical-free bees, which was important to me. The bees are very docile and are working very hard. There is a good beekeeping thread here on BYC.
