Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

combined dirt...(different)..... they should have planted a tree in it... so it could grow with them.

Well, now that I got to see what REAL plan was during the ceremony..that is sorta what the did!!

Had a Peace Lily in a pot up,by the altar. Each parent, grandparents from both the groom & brides's side came up & placed the soil from their farm into it. The minister/pastor then went on to use the symbolism of a Peace Lily in comparison to marriage (e.g., peace Lilly's are very resilient, & a whole bunch of other stuff). Probably one of the cooler "sermons" I have heard during a ceremony (& only about 5 mins long ;)).

The wedding was awesome...I kid you not, the rain held off til right when the married couple walked back down the aisle (& it was just a few drops). Bride was gorgeous. I may post a pic after I ask permission ...

@RaZ

Good luck, RaZ .. Sure hope we aren't gonna have to start baking cakes w/files in them for you...maybe they will actually tell you WHAT you're being sentenced for tomorrow..

My goodness! Where did the time go?

My sentencing is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00am.

Good luck Raz.... will keep fingers crossed that the karma fairy visits them in their sleep tonight and some of them wise up! I'll be thinking about you!

ready for some cute? (well I think the bees are cute)

This is Button Head, my uggo hen... She brooded some 3/4 yokohama- 1/4 phoenix eggs and...

ok, well this is actually a chocolate turkey chick I pulled from momma, since she hurt the chicks leg.

Here's the babies!

love honey, bees not so much, baby chicks and momma are much cuter!!

Ha ha, I was in Belding on Friday picking up a new Flemish Giant buck, anyway, I would have brought you more if this post were sooner! I actually have better stuff - you know the top-shelf...and we could have poured it on some "nilla" ice cream. Karma.
I just happen to have some ice cream, well have to try that. sorry I didn't post sooner, would love some more, maybe next time

finally got the cup waterers from CS onto a jug, now to find a piece of copper to put in it and it will go out for the baby chicks

I agree, the roosters were there to sell and what the people that buy them do with them does not matter. A sale is a sale, right? It would have been nice to see both roosters go to a good home that would use them for breeding, but DH and I were realistic. I did not get that answer from those folks, they just said "how much" and they gave me the money :)S
Sadly the fate of most roos is not a happy ending.

Happy Belated Birthday @RaZ ! And best wishes and good luck tomorrow!

It's been awhile since I've been on here and welcome to the new folks. This is a great thread with lots of nice people who are very knowledgeable!

I sold my roos to people who would give them a nice home and appreciate them. I don't mind if people want to eat the roos, but I didn't want that for these this time around.

Great pics of bees and chicks!!! Love them all!
