Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Signed and posted the link on my facebook, no reason at all the 500 mark can't be hit this afternoon.  Can't be that many people out watching Michigan get waxed by Michigan State today.

I'll be watching...Strange thing about this rivalry is its almost anything goes...though, admittedly, I don't think MICH has a snowball's chance in HE$$....(I'm a MICH grad)...

I also signed the petition...

At least you're an actual alumni, I tend to detests the Walmart type fans of both schools. they tend to be the real poo-flingers on both sides.

I hope more people sign the petition. It seems that the only attention to this has been provided by social media. It is pretty sad that so much media attention is given to football games, terrorists and fear mongering about disease. Yet everyday some poor soul is run over by a local "authority" and nothing is said.

Case in point. I received a new summons today. It seems that the original "criminal contempt of court" summons has now been changed to a "SHOWCAUSE" <sic> hearing called for by the probation director, not the judge. Never mind the simple fact that the judge has stated (on record) that this case is or will be closed upon completion of the work programme. Anywho, a new court date is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:30 PM. Once again, a date and time that the judge is typically not present at the court.

Just a brief update while I have lunch before going back out for fall chores here at the farm.

Not only am I an alumi..I'm also one of those fans that realizes that a win OR loss in no way, shape or form directly affects my life..therefore, about 3 seconds at the end of a game my feelings of the outcome (good or bad) dissipate ;)

All too funny. I began college at UofM-Dearborn and we were ridiculed by A2 as a "commuter college". Graduated from EMU as a Huron. Then a MS as an Eagle. Throw in a couple of certificates from MSU, UNC-Chapel Hill and Tel Aviv and I have no idea of what football team to cheer for.

I'll just remain a BYC supporter.

One of the chores I tackled today was getting the pond ready for winter. I broke down the 2-stage filter to a single level and covered it all up to keep the leaves out. Part of the filter was an experiment in rooting some willow clones. In spring, I put a couple of cuttings in the filters to see how they would grow. One filled up a 5-gallon bucket and the other was quite a bit bigger with a massive root ball.

That got me thinking...I haven't heard from Daran (Farmerboy) in ages. Golden Willow is the name of his farm operation. Has anyone heard from him lately?
ETA. Pictures of the filter grown Golden willows (Salix sp. unknown cultivar)

That's it. I'm not watching the weather forecasts anymore. The last couple of days I've had a rooster pheasant hanging out with my guineas, maybe he's confused.--
