I've found that blue kote can possibly cause an increase of interest in a wounded area, both from other birds and the treated bird itself trying to preen off that foreign substance thus making the wound worse. Sometimes it does the trick and sometimes it does not.

We were just talking about Gov. overstepping there place yesterday, They are overstepping our constitutional rights in Many areas, I am beginning to believe those that think it will take a revolution to stop them are right. Didn't the Obama's put in a garden when they first moved in to the white house? What happened to every on should grow healthy food and teach their children how good home grown veggies are
I think its funny that the line commissioner who added wording that ultimately saved our farm from further harassment doesn't remember why he spoke up about the change.
Raz,
I emailed you direct correspondence from him. Maybe that will clear it up...
very convenient memory, not a popular thing to admit to evidently

It's not "all" of Muskegon - yet. Muskegon is divided into many sections with separate townships, zips, etc. Downtown, and other sections, used to be nice areas - used to be. The city struggles with high crime rates and deteriorating structures. Muskegon built this new Farmer's Market that really caters to outside farm operations, not small scale interests. Before I came to this area the downtown proper was wasting away. Over the last 12 years I've seen a marked increase in renovations. There are vast empty lots that people have tried to start "urban farms" on only to be shunned by the city. Potential "farm owners" have desired to raise animals which has officials questioning the by-products of such like manure, smell, noise, etc. From watching the proceedings over the last few years I see Muskegon wanting to tighten the noose on all aspects of farming in order to make the place nicer (not my vision). I don't see this area getting nicer. New buildings, stores, and the arts are not going to make a difference (to me).

Honestly, it's just not getting better.
