@taprock
It's been close to 5 days now that she can't stand at all. If anything it's gotten a bit worse as now she kind of lays on her side with both feet sticking out.
She certainly does not seem to be in any pain..& eats as long as there's some banana mixed in her feed!
Our "date for improvement" is tomorrow....I think

I hate to say this, but when we had Mareks it was just like that, very slow, I kept hoping they would improve, sad to see them just waste away

Silly, when you do get it working I would love to see a little video of you using it

Yay congrats, my March birds have been slowing a bit this week.

My hens were born in March/April and I was pretty much despairing of them ever laying an egg until just over a week ago, so when I let them out to range one afternoon and glanced into a nest box I wasn't expecting anything after many weeks of disappointment.....imagine my surprise to see the most beautiful little brown egg!!..... I did a stupid little dance I was so excited

then I ran in to show my husband my prize.

Since then they have been slowly increasing production, and today there were 5 eggs in one box, we just couldn't stop grinning about it! now I can't wait to go and check each day to see what might be waiting........love my chickens

What breeds of birds do you have?

I have 3 Ameracauna, 2 Barred Rock crosses, and 4 Red hens of unknown breed (but incredibly nice temperaments !). The first 5 are very pretty birds but not very sociable to me or the red hens, I'm still waiting for the Ameracauna's to start laying as they will have a blue/green egg I believe?
