H5N8 was found in oregon. No commercial flocks yet, only one backyard. I am on a waterfowl migration path. Starting to quietly panic; i have no doubt i could get a bird through it or myself if need be but the implications in lieu of our recent battles to keep poultry make me pale. This is exactly what our opponents had feared, though as of yet the wild birds are far more dangerous. I guess there were two reported owl deaths in the area. So getting special shoes and no one in, no one out but me. A vet if need be! Not trying to start a panic- if there is reason to worry we should all know so we can get our biosecurity measures in place.
