Gearing up(in my mind anyway) for some Feb hatching.
How do you segregate birds for pairings and eggs during incubation / hatching?
Or do you?
In the beginning of October the chickens started molting. All but one look like they are done but still no eggs. Last year we started getting eggs around December 9th. We are not using the heat lamp this year like we did last year because it hasn't been as cold. We use about an hour of artificial light in the evening so they can see to get on the roost. I have done morning artificial light in the past but decided against it this year. Any thoughts?

I am not trying to cross thread, Is it against the rules to say where my post is so I can get the right advice/help? thanks to all who answer either this post or the one in the wrong place!
