Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I've been inactive on this site for the past 3 years and just came back. I didn't even know there were state threads. sorry to see MI didn't behave? Having trouble learning how to use the site. I posted an injury question in the wrong forum or thread....? I am not trying to cross thread, Is it against the rules to say where my post is so I can get the right advice/help? thanks to all who answer either this post or the one in the wrong place!
It's not really that we were misbehaving. We had a couple of debates on the old thread that got a bit out of hand before we could resolve the issues among ourselves. Overall we are very friendly.

So post your injury question here as well as cross posting on other threads. If someone here has an answer it will get posted. Just keep in mind that a response may not happen the second after posting and a non-answer just means that we may not have a good answer to the question.

so sorry PK it is never easy
I've been getting tired of my girls kicking their straw up into their waterer. its one of those 3 gallon heated waterers from Farm and Fleet with the plastic handle. I figure between the handle and the cord, it would never stay balanced enough to really hang, so I have had it sitting up on a couple of cinderblocks on top of the straw. That helped some, but they were still getting it in there. So I cut down an old pallet here and nailed some 2x4's to it for legs. that would put it at about 3 and a half feet off of the ground now. I haven't moved the waterer yet, as it had about a day's worth of water left in it. Going to set it up on the table and fill it tomorrow.
I hang my 3gal. heated waterers all the time no problem... hang it close to the coop so they can't knock it around if the have a game of chase

the eggs were beautiful

welcome back to the oldies nice to see you again

So far the table seems to be working out just fine with the waterer on it today after a fill up. Just need to tweak a few things with the electric cord in it, try to pull some of the extra cord out of the coop and then bury what's inside the coop under the straw.

Only thing now is that their ramp is now set at an angle and they seem to be knocking it down more. Might have to adjust it later.

I have been reading, not much here to report. Haven't seen anyone swabbing near me yet.

My older hen is laying again, i thought it was the pullet but princess is aggressively seeking the box. Every other day! She was laying when i got her, i got her the summer i lost my first pet hen. She is at least 4-5 years :) i think she is finally content. Was never the same after loosing her man and bff. She has developed an affection for this boy, and the last little gal i brought home is calm much like my first hen.

Other than that a lot of working- one last debt to peck off the list to clear my name :) kinda being a scrooge for christmas, but happy.

My eggs are comming along nicely 8 muscovy eggs with veins, 2 clears and 2 maybes. 2 clears i can see on the chicken eggs and i can def see veins in 2 or 3 of the eggs, the rest are to dark. So atm 10 out of 12 muscovy eggs and 9 out of 11 possibly.
