Gorgeous coloring in those eggs!
Thanks for the warning. Geez I hope we don't get hit with it.
YES I am ready to garden right next to you. Though I'm attempting only herbs this year since i'll have chickens roaming my yard. Dill, Mint, and Sweet Basil...I can't wait!Someone tell me it's not too early to plant radishes! I need to start gardening. *sigh* Need to get my "winter" sowing going too.
OK...it's not too early to plant radishesSomeone tell me it's not too early to plant radishes! I need to start gardening. *sigh* Need to get my "winter" sowing going too.
Maybe peas? I want to plant something too!!!OK...it's not too early to plant radishesbut they might not germinate, actually I have no idea. If you have a protected south bed the soil might be warm enough. or use a cold frame.
valbazan is the best wormer and most effective for your dollar.....compared to really anything...just my thoughts tho...it would take 60 dollars of safegaurd to do what like 10 dollars with valbazan would do
at a hundred bucks a bird....yes they are expensive...but cant wait for the 200 dollar a day old chick....ayam cemani...gff said they should be sending them this coming week...if not then the next...as for people in michigan i only know of one other person that has them....and as for color...they are very dark...everything on the bird is blackish/dary grey...very happy with the birds...i have been researching and waiting for about a year now...and finally got them....i will have unrelated stock to breed with sometime soon...and that im very confident that i am the only person in mi that has that....not very many people will put down that kind of cheddar for some birds...and both lines came directly from the importer....so there is no chance that i would get some fake stuff that you see all over ebay....and not knowing the lineage of the birds as well makes things even scarier buying them at 30-50 bucks an egg...people are trying to cash in with these birds...i will not be...IF you get them for me...which is not really possible unless you are family or very close to me...it will be more as a gift to keep the birds at several locations...most will be used for traditional shaman ceremonies in the asian culture...adult svart honas go for a pair....at 1000-1500 bucks...crazy.
I also got a Welsummer from TSC last year who got them from Townline I believe. Here is a picture of our eggs, the darkest are the Welsummer.![]()

Just curious. What breed laid those plum colored eggs? Are they plum colored?
