I'm in Flint right now, so really don't want to be where there are shootings! lol My two daughters live in Grand Ledge, so areas around there and surrounding areas. Hoping maybe somewhere chicken friendly..... but it won't be a deal breaker.Any particular areas in Lansing you're thinking of looking at? I sold my home in Lansing last October. It was move in ready, had a lot of original woodwork/wood floors from the 1920s, original plaster in very good condition considering the age, 4 bed 1.5 bath. If I could have moved that house to my current lot, things would have been perfect
The biggest issue with that house was the location. You can only deal with so many shootings before you're ready to be done.
You need to forget the Lansing thing and head over by Laura...and me.I'm in Flint right now, so really don't want to be where there are shootings! lol My two daughters live in Grand Ledge, so areas around there and surrounding areas. you could easily make a hoop house out of cattle panels with a good run for that. you could paint the frame and door red. , maybe watch craigs list and get an old shed. check out the coop section. a square frame with pre painted boards for the outer walls, maybe a slant roof. nesting box's and roosts can easily be built out of scrap wood you can get windows from someone that installs new ones, doors to maybe even a dump
have fun, and good luck. remember chickens only need to be draft free otherwise they are very cold hardy
glad you got to go and meet up with others. there are some very pretty pidgins out there now. does he do carriers?
sorry I thought you were the one posting the pics of the baby goatsThis is also what i have read. Plan for at least 2 goats seems to be the rule
You need to forget the Lansing thing...
