Well a busy day here got the big coop all Cleaned out. Roosts and nest box washed down with bleach, dried in the sun and put back together. DH is helping with figuring out how to stop the leak looks like it is coming from the down spou hens ha e had a very rough day with their routine messed up. Nest box substations are not acceptable. Love having removable Roost's

@snowflake
That's on my list for this weekend. Just got the potatoes in in the garden; that was my last thing for it. It looks like the last cold night we had actually gave us a light frost (even though we had no advisory) according to how my basil leaves look.
I never realized you could get frost if the temp was above 32...man I love google ...all,about clear night, calm winds, moisture in air (& of course, cold weather).
Only a $4 investment if I have to replace it...though a few of the pepper plants' leaves look iffy, too :rolleyes:

My basil is indicating the same thing :( It's having a rough time. My pepper leaves also have spots on them.

OK fellow Michiganders, I need some advice. I've hatched quite a few times, but this morning day 20 I got up to a half zipped dead chick. It was after midnight when I checked the eggs last. There weren't any external pips visible or any chirping going on. On the end of day 18 I put the eggs into lockdown and increased the humidity to 50%. I did calibrate the hydrometer before this hatch. Everything was looking good. So my question is ~ why would I wake up to a half zipped egg with a dead sticky chick inside? This is a first for me with this situation? Anyone else have this happen before?
50% is kind of on the low side for day 18 on.......70-80% is usually better.

What was your humidity the first 17 days?....were you watching/marking the air cell development?
