Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hello fellow Michiganders, I am in search of people that practice falconry. I know this site is more about poultry and how we as poultry owners dislike hawks but I am really interested in this amazing sport. So does anyone know any one that practices falconry in Michigan? Thanks any responses or suggestions are much appreciated.

Hello, I have a mixed breed rooster that I'm needing to part ways with. I was wondering if there is anyone who may be interested in this guy? He's 7 months old and I live in Jackson. He is free to whoever may desire the unique look. Thanks

Enjoying the beautiful sunshine here today. The girls are all inside the coop enjoying it pouring through the southfacing window. They all have little nests hollowed out in the wood shaving bedding and are lyong on their sides blissfully twittering away. Meanwhile, my not too bright RIR roo is crowing away becaise he doesn't know where his girls are. Hope everyone is getting the gorgeous weather we're getting today in northernmost Macomb County. :)

Sunny day was great!
Almost fooled me that it was middle of summer,
til remembered the days are still short and I better get out and enjoy it.

Egg production is s l o w l y ramping up.

Hi all, I'm new to this site (I've read posts for years, but just now joined).
We lost our buff orpington rooster to a predator ~ 2 weeks ago and are looking for a replacement. We want something buff, if possible (rock, orpington, etc) with "production" genes as he will be with our laying hens.

We are north of Grand Rapids (little town of Pierson).

Thanks!

I assume there's a way for y'all to send me a personal message, rather than taking up space on the forum.

Welcome! Glad you found us! There's always folks giving roosters away. If you put your cursor on the name, a menu will pop up and you can message whoever.
