Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Peep, I've had a problem with ermine but not mink. All it took was a night where the doors were iced up and didn't close tight. I'm sure it was only a 1/2" gap but it was enough to be deadly.

The last three days I've been out of commission with influenza only to have to get out of bed today to herd the turkeys off the neighbor's porch. So I think it's time to give up on turkeys and sell them. Any idea what a trio of Porter's heritage should go for? I'm depressed because my girls are just starting to squat and I was looking forward to hatching more but I'm done chasing and don't have a run that would hold them.

Last week's storm blew snow in two coops and I have a terrible mess to clean up. It was all frozen solid and now it's turned into a soggy pit. For now I only have the energy to toss more shavings on it and hopefully will have some energy back soon.

Yeah its crazy for sure. It wasnt a very fun drive to work this morning. Just glad our chicks are still inside in the brooder yet or they just might blow away!

Anyone on here ever incubate bantam and full size eggs at the same time in the same bator? Im building my first incubator this week after a lot of research on BYC. Hopefully Ill be able to do a dry run this weekend and try to Incubate when the weather breaks up here.

Yup I have. I treated the bantam ones as I would a normal one. If they're a breed that hatched early(seramas) you may want to set those a few days after the large fowl.
