Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I've been looking for wyandottes locally for over a month. I looked for them last year too but no one ever had them. When I called this morning, and they said they had 8, I grabbed the small human and jumped in the car.

I'm looking to rehome my 8 month old blue silkie cockerel if anyone is interested. He's good with the girls and appears to be protecting them well but he's too aggressive with my little kids. I've decided he has to go. I'm outside Ann Arbor if anyone is interested.

Glad I found that to be true after keeping some in my brooder for a friend for 3 days

@GardenJen77 Welcome! I was new here last year, and have found everyone to be very friendly, and a wealth of knowledge.

On a more sober note, I sent my RIR rooster to freezer camp this morning. :( He attacked my mom twice, and he was really hard on my girls, so it was time. But still a little sad as he was a very pretty bird and I loved to hear him crow. I keep telling myself how good he will taste with home-made egg noodles like my Grandma used to make.

I've got around 40 birds that I co-own with a friend (she has more room). Mostly Murray McMurray birds, some Bresse, a couple Ayam Cemani, and a Barbezieux. We had two Marans hens that laid beautiful dark eggs...Then ate them so they live somewhere else now (not freezer camp, lol)
