take it while you can get it. and maybe just remind them that you're looking the move out of that hood, and that more legal BS just takes time away from you looking for a new home and getting out of their collective hair. Hopefully they would rather have that than just having you around to bully because you're gardening in Garden City.I forgot to tell everyone that I won my trial on Wednesday.
This was the trial for playing the radio at 2:00 pm on a Thursday afternoon. The trial was pretty surreal. The neighbor lied through his teeth but that was expected. Then the police officer testified. It seemed that he was biased against me but my lawyer questioned him. The officer then said that there was no issue with the "noise", he said that he liked it. (He was standing by the back fence to hear it) Then he testified that he only wrote the ticket because the neighbor was so adamant that I be prosecuted.
So in the end, the judge dismissed the case because the officer only wrote the ticket because the neighbor wanted it so. It wasn't a great win but it was a win nonetheless.
I am SOOO out of this city.
That Lawyer should be getting more business. It was odd. The ordinance nazi showed up for the trial even though he wasn't a named party. But he is a friend, I guess, of the neighbor. My lawyer made a fuss and had him removed from the courtroom. That made him mad.
I won't be surprised is more flack is forth coming from the 2 of them.
Furness Man?..... I trimmed off the beard yesterday and it felt so darn weird having air on my face. But its getting warmer out there and it keeps me cooler. I give off enough heat as it is.
As a rule of thumb, you should have 4 sq. ft. of coop space per bird. I hope your new coop is at least 44 sq.ft. with good ventilation. The run should be at least 10 sq. ft. per bird. Is the run 110 square feet?New here from Michigan. I live in SE Michigan. We are starting our little flock of 11 chicks. So far they are a lot of fun to watch and interact with. We just built our coop and we are working on adding security to our chain link kennel run. We have to focus on security since we have tons of coyotes, foxes, raccoons, possum, hawks and owls in our area.
For those of you that deal with raccoon. How do you secure the top of your run if you have one? We bought a heavy mesh/tarp kennel shade that you zip tie to the top with 20+ zip ties Would that work well alone or should we add chicken wire under it? What is your experience?
Thanks.
Quit wasting Candy (and Brett's) time.Running a kitten up to Candy today. Expect more pictures of the little fuzzball soon. and just maybe a photo of me being all clean shaven now. I trimmed off the beard yesterday and it felt so darn weird having air on my face. But its getting warmer out there and it keeps me cooler. I give off enough heat as it is.
